Farmington, NM – Detectives with the Farmington Police Department arrested 35-year-old Shawn Ridgley of Farmington on charges of child pornography. Detectives were alerted last Friday to an incident involving Ridgley and a 14-year-old female. Following a week-long investigation, detectives obtained a warrant on one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Child (Manufacturing) (2nd degree felony), one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Child (Distribution) (3rd degree felony), three counts of Child Solicitation by Electronic Communication Device (4th degree felony), one count of Criminal Sexual Communication with a Child (4th degree felony), one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Child (Possession) (4th degree felony), two counts of Criminal Solicitation (4th degree felony) and one count of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor (4th degree felony). Ridgley was arrested this afternoon on the warrant and booked into the San Juan County Detention Center. Additional details about the case are not being released at this time as it remains an open and ongoing investigation.
