Farmington, NM – At approximately 6:01 this morning, Farmington police responded to a traffic crash involving a pedestrian. The crash occurred on Bisti Highway near Ojo Court. Officers investigating the crash learned that a Ford Ranger driven by a 53-year-old man from Kirtland was driving south on Bisti Highway when he struck a male pedestrian crossing the road. Medics arrived and attempted life-saving measures, but the man died at the scene. Police are working to identify the pedestrian as he did not have identification on him. The crash is still under investigation, but officers do not believe speed or impairment were contributing factors.
