Farmington, NM – Farmington Police Department’s Code Compliance Division is accepting nominations for community members needing yard cleaning assistance. Qualifying properties include those with shrubs growing over the sidewalks, overgrown tree limbs and accumulation of weeds, trash and debris. Individuals will be selected based on the following criteria: those who are older in age, in poor health or who have medical disabilities, financial hardships and have no other resources available to them. This is the second year that the department has provided yard cleanup for community members in need. This year’s cleanups will take place the end of August and early September. A limited number of properties will be selected. Nominations should be typed, one page or less, explaining why the individual is being nominated and how he or she meets the criteria.
