Farmington, NM – Farmington Police Department and Farmington Fire Department recognized employees of the Blue Diamond Auto Spa for their heroism following a recent traffic crash. On June 30, 2014, emergency responders were dispatched to a vehicle versus motorcycle crash at the intersection of East Main and Pinon Hills Boulevard. It was reported that the driver of the motorcycle was trapped underneath the vehicle. When first responders arrived, they found the motorcyclist lying in front of the vehicle. It was later discovered that 15 Blue Diamond Auto Spa employees lifted the vehicle off the motorcyclist and moved him to a safe location. The action of these individuals saved precious time, allowing first responders to quickly administer medical treatment. Chief Steve Hebbe and Sergeant Dave Monfils with the Farmington Police Department, along with Captain Doug Walker and Battalion Chief Todd McCarville with the Farmington Fire Department, presented the employees with a certificate of appreciation on July 11 at the Blue Diamond Auto Spa.
